I was waiting...is a collection of songs extracted from long session recordings made during the last couple of months building up to the birth of my third child. Revisiting the material a few months later, I felt the recordings all sat in an interesting spatial context and revealed (to me at least) a certain calmness. I understand now that this time of waiting was a moment of my life I will never have again, and even if I wanted to recreate that unique atmosphere, I’d never manage to find that same exact space ever again.
